If you’re into smoothies or you’re getting into them, and looking for easy recipes to get better nutrition into your body, this one totally works!

Ingredients:

  • spinach
  • bananas, you can either use frozen or fresh bananas
  • apple
  • oat milk or water
  • chia seeds
  • agave nectar

Why Are bananas so good for you?

You should make sure to make this fruit a part of your daily diet, because bananas are an excellent source of nutrients for your body because they contain six essential minerals and vitamins such as potassium, vitamin B6, magnesium vitamin C, copper and magnesium.

How To Freeze the bananas, and why?

Freezing the bananas is performed to hold the initial vitamins and minerals within the fruit. Several different studies showed that these nutrients were found to stay intact for up to a year after being frozen, and some bananas were found to have a higher level of antioxidants than the fresh ones.

You can either freeze a whole peeled banana or cut it into slices. Place it in an air-tight zip bag or a container, and freeze it until ready to use! It’s perfect for smoothies, shakes or even baking. If you don’t have time to freeze your bananas, there’s always the option of buying frozen bananas.

Some people have concerns about the taste. It is true that the bananas will lose their firmness but they will still have the same taste and nutritional value.
