Easy Vegan Chocolate Pancakes

The BEST chocolate vegan pancakes

The BEST and chocolatey vegan pancakes are made with easy ingredients you probably have on hand right now!

Did you know that you don’t need milk or eggs to make tasty pancakes!! A shock right?! Well…it’s true. It still tastes amazing! They’re super delicious, can easily be made gluten-free, and require fewer ingredients.

I usually don’t add sugar to my pancakes since I will be serving them with maple or agave syrup.

Ingredients:

  • all-purpose of flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • cocoa powder
  • oat milk
  • banana
  • coconut or vegetable oil

How To make the perfect pancakes

You need only a few simple ingredients such as flour, non-dairy milk, banana, and a bit of oil.

For the non-dairy milk, I prefer using oat milk, since it’s my favorite, but others work just as well. I do make my own oat milk every week (maybe a future recipe). I find using a little bit of oil is good for the batter. I like keeping it simple and healthy!

For frying, I recommend using coconut oil, it gives a delicious coconut flavor! But any oil should work, since we won’t be using a lot of it.

How to Replace the eggs for vegan pancakes

If you’ve always thought that you need eggs to make pancakes, I am happy to tell you that you don’t! You can replace the eggs with bananas, which will make the pancakes softer and it gives a naturally sweet taste. You can also use the following instead of eggs: flaxseeds, chia seeds, silken tofu, vegan yogurt, applesauce or commercial egg replacer.
